5 years (+ 1 week)

last friday we celebrated our 5 year anniversary. it certainly went fast. brett was able to visit for a few days. it had been 2 months since i had seen him. only 1 more month until he comes out to drive me home.

after running errands i found these lovely flowers on my doorstep. it was a nice surprise. and i think they will probably live for at least another week (?), maybe.

flash

i am convinced that flash can be a powerful tool. it gives a different look to photographs. i definately need to spend some more time with it to get to know what it can do for me. flash can be completely misused if you are not careful. we only had 1 day of flash class and barely anytime to practice so i need to get it out again sometime next week to remind myself of the basics. thanks to my lovely model.

the "wedding"

can't believe it's already been more than a week since i staged this wedding. we had a lot of fun and my models had a good time with it. it got me partially out of my photographic rut but i'm back in the slump as the stress of the final project creeps in. only 2 more weeks of class and only 3 weeks til i head back home. i should have puppies there waiting for my arrival!

dew and light

i think i was successful at recapturing the light i found a few weeks ago. this time it's me and the hubby. there is such beautiful dew at this park early in the morning. definately ready for bed tonight since i was up before the sun. hope you had a good weekend!

more butte.

a street band from my trip to butte. these were the most interesting musicians at the national folk festival and they weren't even part of the show. going to make some cupcakes now for a "wedding" i'm throwing tomorrow. it should be exciting and my creativity needs a good kick in the pants (considering i've only taken about 10 photos in 10 days). hope your having a good week. only 3 more days until my hubs arrives for a visit!
