friday i finished sewing the blocks together for the top of my quilt. now i need to put it on the back burner for a few weeks and work on things with deadlines.
we went to the nationwide (formerly busch) series race friday night. it was fun and the weather cooperated. it rained all day and then the sun came out for just before race time. saturday we couldn't score tickets for the cup series but we saw the goodyear blimp fly by our house. and we're hoping for arca tickets later in the summer, yay!
today i had a brilliant idea of looking at the local crate+barrel outlet for fabrics. my initial idea was to check out the napkins (since they are approximately a fat quarter). but i also found some pillow cases in the clearance bin AND i bin full of remnants at $.95/lb (mostly fall looking colors so i'm not as excited about those at this very moment).
and it's official. we have switched from paying for tv to relying on the monster in the attic to provide us with a digital signal. we've been watching from the antennea for about a month now and haven't had any problems yet.
